End Date

Description

Crimes occur in our libraries and although we are not always directly affected by the misconduct, we should be aware of what is occurring in our library and how to be prepared if or when we are impacted by a crime. This session will survey what types of crimes occur in our library. It will also include steps of what to do if you see a crime occur, the difference between an officer arrest and a private person arrest, and provide several resources to use to help law enforcement. Most importantly, this session will provide attendees with an overview of techniques that can be used to keep you safe while working in your library.
