Information Outlook was the magazine of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) from January 1997 through April 2020, when it ceased publication. Information Outlook was the successor to Special Libraries, which was published by SLA from 1910 to 1996. SLA represents librarians who work in businesses, government agencies, law firms, academic libraries, and other specialized settings. Articles and columns in Information Outlook addressed topics of timely interest, such as data curation and digital asset management, as well as issues of perpetual interest, including technology and copyright law. A popular feature was the SLA Member Interview, which offered a close-up look at information professionals in different disciplines, work environments, and countries.
