Abstract
This report presents a study of a neighborhood planning area in the City of Emeryville, California. A variety of planning issues pertaining to land use, transportation, parking. and open space design are discussed in this report. This report is a direct extension of my work on the “Emeryville North Hollis Area Urban Design Program” while working with the ROMA Design Group during the years 2001 and 2002. As a design team member, I had the opportunity to visit the study area in many occasions and attended workshops with citizens and property owners who participated in the planning and design process. Through close work with the City of Emeryville Planning, and Public Works division, neighborhood residents, and property owners, extensive feedback was elicited and a set of comprehensive recommendations in response to the input was provided for the neighborhood.
