Abstract

Big Data Analytics is one of the main technological drivers of economy today. There is ample scope of research and application of the research of Big Data Analytics in day-to-day lives. The author reviewed several research papers from scholars in India and other Asain countries in topics related to Big Data Analytics for multiple conferences and journals. Based on that experience, the author felt the need to use the opportunity that the Minitry of Human Resources Development gave to him in the form of the one-week Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) course, to orient scholars in the country towards higher standards standards of research. The following is a perspective on the need to spruce up research in India and how courses such as the ones organized under the GIAN initiative can contribute to this noble cause.
