Special Libraries (1910 – 1996) was a journal published by the Special Libraries Association (SLA), a nonprofit organization that represents librarians and information professionals who work in business, government, academic, legal, medical, and other specialized environments in more than 60 countries. *Special Libraries* contains articles and columns on issues such as cataloging and indexing, information about SLA activities and initiatives, book reviews, and general information about the library and information profession.
