Abstract
An interview with artist Eduardo Kac about his work with transgenic art; specifically the work with Alba, the glowing rabbit. The interview focuses on Kac’s processes and collaborations with Louis-Marie Houdebine. Kac and Houdebine worked together in France to genetically create Alba’s glowing fur. Eventually, the collaboration came to an end and resulted in a legal battle between Eduardo and the Director of the Institute in which Alba was created, as they did not release her into Eduardo's care. The article concludes with a discussion of the use of a rabbit specifically for this project.
