Abstract

A Brooklyn-based artist couple, Jennifer and Kevin McCoy, discusses their creative interpretations of their ideas and artwork. This description follows a writing structure of all words containing only four letters or less. Including words like idea, life, and work, the limited variety of word choice lets readers think and connect deeper to the purpose of the article itself. The process of how they recognize inspiration and starting the artwork, an extensive “normal” explanation is what this article shies away from. This is the uniqueness in approach compared to others. The author succeeds in simplifying down the numerical characters of one’s vocabulary to talk about something that usually requires complexity, allows internal processing within the reader and recognition of success that the artist achieves from deliberate executions. This article helps open up new approaches to describing creative ideas and art itself.
