Abstract
Described in this article is the Second Life Archetype project, in which artists used Second Life as a platform to explore identity through the lens of archetypes: the comic book guy, the shaman, and the gamer. Each group used strategies to locate, map, and analyze how these archetypes manifest in Second Life.
