Abstract
This article explores how virtual worlds merge humanity’s ancient desire for tools and frameworks with the possibilities of new media. The author examines how immersive digital environments allow us to perceive and experience them as real, and how, as technology advances, the boundary between virtual and physical worlds will blur.
