Abstract
The article describes cyberfeminism and how it relates to the art collaborative group, VNS Matrix. The VNS Matrix is based in Australia and comprises members; Josephine Starrs, Julianne Pierce, Virginia Barratt, and Francesca da Rimini. VNS Matrix's goal is to resist the gendered dominance of technologies by questioning identity and gender. The articles discusses the "VNS Matrix Manifesto" and one of the VNS Matrix’s major works, "All New Gen", and introduces Rimini’s site called Gashgirl, which is also the name of one of her personas. The article wraps up with an interview between the author and Gashgirl, where Gashgirl talks about Doll Yoko/Dollspace section of her Gashgirl site.
