Abstract
This spreadsheet calculates five revenue streams created by California's Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 (SB1): the gasoline excise tax, the diesel excise tax, the diesel sales tax, the Roadway Improvement Fee, and Transportation Improvement Fee. It produces revenue projections for eight different scenarios covering a variety of potential future conditions related to vehicle miles traveled and the adoption of zero-emission vehicles. Key inputs include vehicle miles traveled, numbers of zero-emission vehicles in the light- and heavy-duty fleets, and fuel mileage. All outputs are reported in 2024 dollars.
