Lowell Keith served his profession with dignity and concern.
Student teachers, who achieved their goal to serve, often returned to express their appreciation and friendship for Lowell.
His chairmanship of the San Jose State University Department of Elementary Education was one of progress and improvement. He was receptive to new facts and new ideas. Lowell took pride in the achievements and principles of his department.
