Was the resident engineer on the reconstruction of the Grafenwoehr Military Base in Germany; started as Pvt. and ended as 2nd Lt. Length of service was 4 1/2 years.

Personal Commentary
At SJSU, Member of Academic Senate 10 1/2 years and was Chair of Professional Standards Committee, member of Executive Committee and chair of Mission and Goals Committee (report 1971, '72).
In Academic Senate CSU 10 1/2 years. Member of Faculty Affairs Committee, committee to study schools of education and committee to develop plans to encourage women and minorities to study science and engineering. I was President of United Professors of California 3 years at SJSU, and Northern Vice President in the State for 2 years, and Treasurer for 1 1/2 years.
I was a member of the Board of the Jewish Federation of Greater San Jose, a member of the Jewish Public Affairs Committee of California, a member of the Board of Temple Beth‑El in Aptos and Chair of the Adult Education Committee.
I was the Adjutant and Commander of Post #52 American Legion in Palo Alto, and have given lectures to service clubs on Water Resources and on the Influence of the German Military on Civil Government in Prussia and Germany.
Played in many interclub tennis matches in Santa Clara County.
Have a wonderful wife and son who is an expert on property values in Manhattan, NYC, and daughter who is an expert on China and has taught at Stanford, Harvard and is now married to a Canadian and she teaches at the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
I am a very lucky guy.
