Personal Commentary
I've taught at San Jose State for 20 years, a career I love. My favorite part of the job is helping students to understand what public relations is all about and how they can make an impact. My professional experience includes two years as a newspaper reporter for the Muncie Star (my favorite job as a professional); two years as Assistant Sports Information Director, Ball State University; two years as Education Writer, BSU Public Information services; two years as the Assistant to the Dean in the Graduate School, BSU. I have taught all the PR courses, but primarily focus on case studies and strategic writing. In addition, I was the undergraduate advisor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
