Conducting public relations and marketing communications services for non-profits, education, public affairs and the health care industry. Developing new business opportunities, management of sub- contractors that include graphic designers, printers, photographers and writers. Supervision, coordination and financial management of each project.

Personal Commentary
Christine Marie Di Salvo has recently retired as adjunct professor at San Jose State University‘s School of Journalism and Mass Communications. From 1995-2023, she taught in the public relations degree program where she had the opportunity to teach students through courses such as the Student Advertising and Public Relations Agency, Special Event Management, Public Relations Campaigns, Media Writing techniques as well as a graduate course, New Media Visionaries. Today, she is a member of the Emeritus and Retired Faculty Association at San Jose State University (SJSU ERFA).
Since 1984, Ms. Di Salvo has owned and operated Professional Effects, a public relations consulting firm since 1984. She specializes in public relations strategy, media relations and event planning. From 2005 to 2018, Ms. Di Salvo was the Associate Producer for the Unique Lives and Experiences lecture series in San Jose and Campbell. Past speakers include: Michelle Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Malala Yousafzai, Gloria Steinem, Shirley MacLaine, Jane Fonda, Madeleine Albright and more.
Ms. Di Salvo is very active in the San Jose community. Since 2000, she has been a member of the Rotary Club of San Jose and a past member of the board of directors (2012-2016). She is also past-president of the Foundation Board (2010-2011).
Ms. Di Salvo was a member of the County of Santa Clara Florence, Italy, Sister County-Commission (1/2004-6/2010). She was also the chairperson from 2009-2010.
She is a former member of the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the board of directors for six years (1993-1998). She is a past Commissioner for the
City of San Jose Parks & Recreation Department (1993-1996), and past president of the YWCA Board of Directors of Santa Clara County (1997-1999). She is also a past-president of the South Bay Public Relations Roundtable (1993) and the 1991 Chairperson for Women in Business, a San Jose Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce program. In 1997, she had the pleasure of being editorial writer for San Jose & Silicon Valley: Primed for the 21st Century.
