Abstract
Morgan Hill contains many ingredients for a successful transit village: a successful, walkable downtown; an established transit line; available housing sites within walking distance of the CalTrain station; and a local government committed to building more housing in the downtown. This paper will explore the concept of a transit village, analyze the demographics of Morgan Hill, study the potential of TOD development In Morgan Hill, and offer locations and needed implementation actions for a transit village downtown.
