Abstract
This project addresses the design and implementation of various client/server data access solutions for accessing relational data over the Internet using the JavaBeans Component Model and Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) API. This project endeavors to utilize the aforementioned Internet technologies to design and develop solutions for distributed data access that allow efficient access to relational databases without requiring any changes to the existing database structure and schema. The goal of this project is to demonstrate and test the feasibility of these solutions as well as evaluate them on the basis of their design, implementation and functionality. A comparative analysis of all solutions has been provided, based on their design, implementation and functionality.
