Abstract
San Jose State University (SJSU) has identified a need for a software program to track the student enrollment information in all campus departments. Student tracking information is needed for college program planning and review. In a broader sense tracking information is needed for program planning, and in measuring student success.
The design and implementation of a suitable software application was undertaken as a graduate engineering project at San Jose State University. This report documents the implementation of the software application: “Graphical Display of Student Enrollment Information” (GDSEI) For San Jose State University.
Goal of this project is to implement a software application which helps in establishing an accurate baseline for measuring changes in student enrollment rates and optimizing recruitment efforts.
This software will be the first of its kind in the California State University to track the student enrollment information. Suggestions are included at the end of this report for further improvements and additions to this software program.
