Abstract

The goal of this project is to integrate file management functionality for C source code files, with a company’s internal web, i.e., an intranet. The proposed solution will utilize the world wide web infrastructure to implement file management functionality that includes source code browsing, source change control, administration and security. The project includes design and development of a simple web based file management system for C source code files, to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed solution. The entire program logic is implemented in the middleware, obviating any need to change either the components of the world wide web infrastructure or existing source code file and their directory structure. Input to this application is a set of C source code files, on which the user can perform all file management functions.
