Abstract
The Uphoria look both back and forward simultaneously. They are crafted of the artist's ancestral clay from Italy and Sicily and represent both a journey to her homeland to discover the terroir of her ancestors and simultaneously serve as emblems of her future. Each vessel is an investigation into a traditional form that can be found in ancient Roman amphorae and is reinterpreted through the opportunities and limitations that occur when 3D printing with clay.
