Abstract
Mel Day will discuss the role of uncertainty and the expressive possibilities of participatory singing in resonant contexts as it has evolved in her interdisciplinary work as the co-founder of the Wall of Song Project—a collaborative art, sport, and civic singing platform for women’s athletics, mental and physical wellbeing, and social change efforts. How might we combine the speculative power of art and the generative possibilities of collective singing rituals to help imagine and lay groundwork for deeper questioning, reflecting, and connecting across different groups and ideas?
