Abstract
Core to discovery and exploratory research, theme identification is one of the most commonly undertaken analyses in qualitative and mixed-methods research. This lesson helps students understand the abstract concept of a “theme” through hands-on exercises, in- and outside of class, and results in students using multiple techniques for identifying themes.
