Abstract
In the Introduction, the editors provide an overview of the structure and purpose of the book, Geographies of Us: Ecosomatic Essays and Practice Pages, and summarize its main contributions to the emergent multidisciplinary field of ecosomatics. As part of this, they offer a general introduction to the term's usage and development and tease out some of the theoretical strands that inform the work. The Introduction also reimagines what is meant by the notion of “geographies of us” and how the term, “us,” can be resituated in relation to the more-than-human world and vibrant materiality. The editors describe the book's four thematic sections, discuss the purpose of including both essays and practice pages, and provide guidance on the book's usage.
