Abstract
Chicana/Latina scholars have taken up testimonio as an approach to challenge inequities. This chapter reviews literature that captures how Chicana/Latina testimonios have contributed to undisciplining and reimagining knowledge production using scholarship from the Chicana Latina Studies Journal between 2001 and 2022 that incorporated or analyzed testimonio as a methodology, pedagogy, or epistemology. Key themes emerged reflecting innovations in testimonio writing over the past 21 years: Witnessing Chicana/Latina Knowledge, Collective Writing, and Challenging Fields/Challenging Canons. These themes help us understand evolving conversations in testimonio scholarship and how they have shaped the intellectual trajectory of academia at large.
