Abstract

Interview with Jessica Punzalan, project manager with Local Color, conducted as part of the Mosaic Atlas project. Jessica identifies as Filipino-American. Topics discussed include Local Color, mural creation, gentrification, neighborhoods in San José, placemaking, art economies, and equity. As part of the Mosaic Atlas project, SJSU students and faculty from the Anthropology and Geography departments interviewed people who support and produce art throughout the Bay Area.
