On Wednesday, April 1st at 5:00pm PT SAASC welcomed guest Emily Cabaniss. Emily shared the ins and outs of working as a business archivist. Emily was Lead Archivist for the Winthrop Group in Seattle, Washington, from 2022 to 2026, providing archival services throughout the Pacific Northwest. Prior to joining Winthrop, she worked for King County Archives and Seattle Opera, where she founded the company’s first Archives program. Emily has held leadership roles with Northwest Archivists and the Zine Archive and Publishing Project. Her areas of specialty include family owned business archives, the intersection of archival practice with death and grief, and textiles.
