Published by the Graphic Offensive, Sedition was a radical, free press paper that "sought to revolutionize the nation," and contained articles about San José State University, as well as the City of San José community. The newspaper published articles such as where to find inexpensive meals, women's health issues, drug use, and how to take action against the government, as well as hotline and helpline numbers relating to community needs and services. In Volume 5, the newspaper's name was changed to the San José Community News.
