Abstract
As a retrospective to our “Critical” Junctures (2009) article, we hone in on the “theorizing” areas that have emerged as significant arenas for critical intercultural communication studies to engage in more thoroughly as well as challenges that have persisted and have yet to be fully wrestled with. These theorizing areas represent quandaries, dilemmas, and pressure points that we need to inform our analytic frameworks and knowledge construction in the field. We reflect upon where we have been with regard to these continuing theoretical exigencies and then highlight the key theoretical juncture points that we face at this time.
