About Author

Vanessa earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Alberta, and a Library and Information Technology Diploma from MacEwan University. She has been working as a library para-professional for over 10 years and currently works as a cataloguing technician in a special library. She is passionate about metadata and updating problematic subject headings used within the LIS field. She is currently pursuing her MLIS at San Jose State University and expects to graduate in Spring 2026.
