About Author
Gina Mik is a Mater of Library and Information Science (MLIS) student at San José State University and a former middle school English teacher. She is a project manager and teaching assistant with the Kenya Library Project, an SJSU iSchool special studies project that provides free professional development for school librarians in Kenya. Her interests include literacy, global librarianship, and equitable library services.
