Abstract
Multiple Intelligence (MI) plays a crucial role in comprehending extensive intellectual abilities and aptitudes among individuals. The purpose of this study is to investigate the Multiple Intelligences in medical library professionals in Pakistan and Nigeria by incorporating Howard Gardener's Theory. Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences provided the foundation for the research method implemented in this study. The current study is explanatory in nature. The research employs a quantitative approach and survey as a research method, which involves collecting and analyzing numerical data. A questionnaire with five-point Likert scale, from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree), was adopted to collect data. The reliability of the questionnaire was determined using Cronbach's alpha in a pilot study with twenty respondents. Exemplary dependability is shown by the reliability coefficient of 0.973. The study included 219 respondents in the final sample, and 51% of these individuals were female. Pakistan contributed to more than half numbers of respondents (58%). One of the traditional assumption tests was the Test of Normality. SPSS version 22 was implemented for descriptive and inferential statistics. The study demonstrated a significant difference in linguistic, intrapersonal, interpersonal, naturalistic, and emotional intelligence based on the country of residence (p-values < 0.05). There was no discernible difference in logical- mathematical, visual-spatial, or bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, despite p-values being greater than 0.05. This study is very crucial in the context of artificial intelligence, where everyone has access to knowledge in the form of explosions. Policy makers, library managers, and academics working in the field of library and information science may all benefit greatly from the study's conclusions.
