Abstract

Interview with Lou Jimenez, artist and advocate of Culture and Mosaic America, conducted as part of the Mosaic Atlas project. Lou identifies as Mexican and Portuguese. Topics discussed include art advocacy, artist economies, art as resistance, art history, public art, and city planning. As part of the Mosaic Atlas project, SJSU students and faculty from the Anthropology and Geography departments interviewed people who support and produce art throughout the Bay Area.
