  Dr. Weissmann received her PhD from the department of Library and Information Studies at UCLA and her research interests include information literacy, research methodology, information as evidence, and children’s information behaviors. Her talk focuses on the way in which technology is affecting children’s information needs.

  Marianne Afifi, Associate Dean of the Oviatt Library at California State University Northridge addresses the roles of academic library administrators, what their work commonly entails, and how they fit into library and campus organizational structures. Ms. Afifi gives some examples of the work she is involved in and answers questions from students.
