Abstract
The social problem of homelessness has been acknowledged as existing in Santa Clara County since 1982. Many efforts and organizations have been developed to reduce the number of homeless persons and combat the problem but the issue continues to exist.
The purpose of this report is to shed some light on the issue of homelessness; describe the services that exist to move the county in a concerted way towards an improved grasp of the problem; and outline the steps that could be undertaken to move the county towards solving or controlling the problem.
