Abstract
Interview with Alena Sauzade, gallery director and collections manager for San José State University by Caroline Ammon, conducted as part of the Mosaic Atlas project. Alena identifies as Russian American and works with students from many cultural backgrounds. Topics discussed include the role of the art galleries at San José State University and their connection to cultural expression, as well as community and organizational collaborations such as the Public Art Walking Tour. As part of the Mosaic Atlas project, SJSU students and faculty from the Anthropology and Geography departments interviewed people who support and produce art throughout the Bay Area.
