Abstract

Interview with Mexican-American muralist and artist Tomas Wisper Talamantes, conducted as part of the Mosaic Atlas project. Topics describe include trauma, incarceration, representation, stereotyping, the origins of Together We Create, and the artistic process for mural commissions. As part of the Mosaic Atlas project, SJSU students and faculty from the Anthropology and Geography departments interviewed people who support and produce art throughout the Bay Area.
